What to expect at your first visit.

Whenever a new patient comes to the office, their first visit is much more than a dental exam. The members of our team spend time getting to know you and what you want out of your smile is just as important as the diagnostics. Upon arrival, our office manager will review the necessary forms which are available online and in the office. Once checked in, our dental assistant will escort you to the treatment area, where you have the opportunity to privately discuss your medical and dental concerns and review any pertinent dental records from prior providers.

The diagnostic portion of your visit starts with a quick blood pressure reading, diagnostic imaging (digital x-ray and photographs), and digital models (if needed). Dr. Cech then performs a comprehensive exam, including head, neck, and jaw joints, the soft and hard tissues of your mouth, and your bite (the relationship between the upper and lower teeth, and how they come together). She will also examine your gum health and perform an oral cancer screening. An intra-oral camera is then used to relay any areas of concern that she observes.*

Dr. Cech and team strive to have every new patient leaving the office confident in their oral health care, answering any questions you may have as well as your next appointment for maintaining your dental hygiene.

*If further data is needed, an additional final consult may be required.
