Your First Visit: Establishing Care

For all new patients, the initial appointment is an establish care visit, not a routine cleaning. This visit allows Dr. Wagner to get to know you, understand your dental history and concerns, and develop a personalized plan for your care moving forward.

When you arrive, our welcoming team will review your registration details, which you can complete online beforehand to save time. A dental assistant will then escort you to a private treatment room, where you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your medical history, dental concerns, smile goals, and any previous dental records you may have available.

Dr. Wagner will perform a comprehensive evaluation of your oral health, which may include digital X-rays, intraoral photographs, and other diagnostic imaging as needed. He will carefully assess your teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints, and soft tissues, including an oral cancer screening. Using an intraoral camera when appropriate, he can also review his findings with you so you have a clear understanding of your dental health.

During this visit, Dr. Wagner will discuss his findings, answer your questions, and review any recommended treatment or preventive care. Once your initial evaluation is complete and we have established a plan for your care, we can schedule your hygiene appointment based on your individual needs and recommended treatment.

Our goal is for you to leave feeling informed, comfortable, and confident about the next steps in your dental care.

Dental Insurance and Payment Information

At this time, we are in-network only with Delta Dental and are out-of-network with all other dental insurance providers.

We are still happy to welcome patients who have other dental insurance plans! For patients with out-of-network coverage, payment for services is due at the time of your visit. As a courtesy, our office will submit a claim to your insurance provider on your behalf so you may receive any reimbursement available under your plan. Reimbursement is determined by your individual insurance policy, and we encourage you to contact your provider with questions about your out-of-network benefits.

New Patient Appointment Deposit

To secure your new patient appointment, a $50.00 deposit is required at the time of scheduling. This deposit helps us reserve your appointment time specifically for you and allows us to better serve all of our patients by ensuring scheduled appointments are kept.

We understand that schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly require at least 48 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the $50.00 new patient deposit.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, as this policy helps us maintain our schedule and offer appointment availability to other patients who may be waiting for care.
