Cosmetic Dentistry

Everyone deserves a smile that makes them feel confident and healthy. Over time discolorations, mal-alignment or awkward gaps may cause individuals to hide their smile. Dr. Cech offers cosmetic dental options for you to allow you to feel good about your smile!

Veneers

Veneers are customized, wafer-thin porcelain restorations designed to cover the front and edges of a tooth. Veneers can correct multiple concerns at one time. Imperfections that can be corrected are discolorations, chips, cracks, and some minor orthodontic concerns. Veneers are made out of a porcelain material that is more resistant to staining than your natural enamel and can last 10+ years with proper care.

Direct Bonding

Direct bonding is a cost-effective option that allows our team to repair or hide small imperfections using quality adherent resin. Dr. Cech recommends this for patients who desire cosmetic improvement while not undergoing larger procedures like orthodontic treatment or veneers. This procedure can be used to correct minor chips, discolorations, and spacing concerns in one easy visit. Direct bonding is also an option if a patient would like to “test drive” a new smile without being committed to more extensive dentistry. There are limitations with this treatment option as it will not correct everything. Patients who chose direct bonding may need touch-ups to maintain their appearance.

At-home Whitening

Commonly known as “bleaching”, our at-home-whitening treatments can be used to brighten your natural teeth by eliminating stains and discolorations. At-home whitening has been evolving since the mid 80’s regarding active ingredients and usage time. With many more expensive and uncomfortable treatment options on the market, Dr. Cech feels that at-home whitening is the most efficient, affordable, and safe way to lighten your teeth. The process of at-home whitening is simple. Patients receive custom whitening trays made just for them and with 10-20 minutes of whitening per day, a brighter smile is only weeks away! Whitening gel only works on natural tooth enamel, so any composite or porcelain restorations will not change color. These restorations may need to be re-evaluated and possibly replaced after whitening for a seamless look.
