Dental Implants
Losing even one tooth can have severe consequences for your smile, your self-confidence, and your overall health. Thankfully, dental implants can restore all of the needed structure that was lost, providing excellent support and stability for custom restorations. Dr. Catherine Cech has undergone additional training in order to be able to offer both implant placement and restoration right here in-house for her valued patients, making the experience that much more convenient and rewarding.
What does the dental implants process involve?
Once our team has determined that you’re a viable candidate for dental implants, the procedure itself will require multiple appointments over a period of months. First, we’ll take detailed images of the jaw and teeth in order to determine the amount of space that’s available for the implant. Once Dr. Cech has satisfactorily planned your procedure, she will surgically insert the implant(s) into the jawbone, allowing them to start the integration process with the natural bone and tissue. This creates a solid bond that will be more than capable of supporting restorations in the near future. Once this is complete, patients will return to our Manchester Center practice to receive their restorations.
There are several restoration options for dental implants. Dental crowns are used to rebuild individual teeth without requiring much alteration of nearby healthy teeth that remain. Alternatively, implant-retained bridges and/or dentures cover a greater idea while attaching to a number of placed implants, resulting in plenty of needed stability.
Dr. Cech and the rest of our team will provide detailed care instructions for every step of your implant process. With proper maintenance and a strong oral hygiene routine, patients can expect to enjoy their brand-new teeth for 20 years, 30 years, or the rest of their lives!
